Folks like myself were saying aloud how quickly shit can go sideways when a democracy dissolves into a dictatorship, and the response was that that was hyperbole and hysteria, that people wouldn’t go for such and would fight back. That America is too robust a democracy to ever let such things happen.

Well, fighting back does take time. It doesn’t happen overnight.

Sure we would all like to go to sleep tonight and wake tomorrow and it will all be gone, but you know it doesn’t happen that way.

This is going to take a lot of effort to get enough people that see themselves as conservatives to go against what many voted for. It is going to take all the people that never vote to get angry and motivated enough to join the process.

The Republicans in Congress are going to have to understand that if they want to hold onto their positions and actually start to do what the people want they are going to need to get to work.

And they are going to need pressure from the money people that back them. The only way that may happen is those money people need to see some of their money taken away from people that refuse to buy and use their services, etc.

And the Democrats are going to need to find their backbones too and motivate their backers like maybe they’ve never been before…or at least in many a year.
