re: #306 MicheleR

I admit I believe climate change is a serious problem. While I have seen a lot of articles that argue that it is pollution, and others question if it is an earth cycle, I guess I all really believe is that there are serious issues for the planet, and no matter what causes it, we need to do what we can to address the issues.

I am a firm beliver in giving people options to choose from, in their education, and in life. So, I support the teaching of evolution.

That said- I’m torn on teaching creation, because of the religious issue. I’m still trying to figure that one out. I believe in religious freedom, and also in the right to be free from religion, if that makes sense.

I’m sorry that I’m a bit less sure about the evolution/creation question. I really do believe in religious freedom, but

If the schools want to teach the Biblical version of creation, they can do it in comparative religions class. It does not belong in science class.
