Nah, Slate’s promoting the idea that if you give Trump dictatorial power for however long it takes to file an injunction, then the Senate GOP will suddenly discover their balls long enough to pass a funding bill to his desk and possibly even override a veto. Because in such a scenario he can look cool to his base and if/when the courts knock him down he can direct his anger towards them rather than Congress.
