How many times have we seen one or more popular sites rendered virtually unusable in the event of millions of people trying to pull up the page at the same time? But hc.gov doesn’t show for some on Day One and that’s considered “failure.”

ARGH!

Google, Facebook, and even sites like Amazon have crashed due to volume of users. News sites crash frequently during major news events.

That you’ve got a whole lot of people clamoring to visit these sites on day one shouldn’t surprise. When you’ve got millions of people interested in getting health insurance for the first time, they’re curious about the offerings and what it means to them.

That’s not a sign of failure. It’s a sign of pent up demand.
