One last thing, then I need to go. I mentioned this on the previous thread, but its worth saying again: Tom Cotton did serve in the US Army in both Iraq and Afghanistan, winning the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Bronze Star.

So whatever else he may be, Tom Cotton is not a chickenhawk.

I read that wikipedia entry and thought about it. I’m going to do some research later.

Why? Because of this little aphorism from Bill Mauldin. “The surest way to become a pacifist is to join the infantry.”

All the soldiers I’ve known and the large majority of those I’ve read about that have been at the sharp end don’t want war. They know what it’s like. They know it’s a horror. They don’t want war.

Sen. Cotton acts more like a member of the 101st Chairborne than the 101st Airborne.
