That’s one part. The other part was picking Palin. This was the case for me and others I’ve spoken to. One person in particular, told in me in a conversation prior to the primaries that McCain was the only one (on either side) that he trusted. Once he chose Palin though, he voted for Obama.

And yet, except one person, all those I talked to said exactly the opposite. If they voted it was because of Palin, and those that didn’t really thought about it after the choice of her as running mate was made.

The person who said he disliked Palin was an Obama voter from the get-go, and would NEVER have voted for McCain no matter what.
