I hope so. I’ve been think about this and I’ve come to a conclusion: The English-speaking world needs an event where the Islamists rioters are defeated decisively. They need to lose, as humanely as can be arranged, but in such a manner as there can be no doubt that they lost. We shouldn’t want such an event but I don’t see an alternative. The Islamists must lose at least of these riots to take the wind out of their sails. I’d much prefer and would actually advocate a strong show of force that resulted in them backing off. But any such show would have be ready if them won’t.

Again, I don’t want people to be hurt or killed. I want the Islamists to see our strength, in such a way as they cannot deny it.

I don’t think you can defeat them humanely because I doubt they would act humanely. And to really defeat them you would need to humiliate them.
