this is a bad bad mistake

the power to question should not be ‘turned over’ to anyone and definitely not to a lawyer (i dont know if she’s a lawyer)

i dont even know if the committee can

if they really want to go down this road for ‘optics’, all they should do is write their questions and have a nobody-special woman read them

a person who ‘directs’ the questioning, who can formulate questions, come up with new ones in response to what Ford says, ie CROSS EXAMINE, that’s an awfully dangerous thing for somebody not on the committee
