I do agree with that as far as the people he did associate with are definitely among the right-wing extremists. American White Supremacists self-identify as “right wing”. One can also find a few odd-ball associations or views which align with extreme leftist ideas, or some other nonsense. The true common denominator in all of it is hatred.

Take the phrase “right wing extremist”. Why isn’t this guy simply called a neo-nazi. Why is he the extreme side of the right wing? That right wing includes people like me. I am nowhere near Von Brunn, but the MSM links these people to the mainstream right in am effort to discredit the whole right side of the political spectrum..
