I was wondering why she got banned, that the Jawas would make a big stink about it. Charles has made no secret of his stance that anyone who habitually downdings without commenting is at risk of being banned. This should come as no surprise to anyone, and that the crazy train is making a big deal of this is amusing.

True. I can understand the temptation to click those little ding buttons as a first action on this site, but personally, I think all new members should lurk a while and get the feel for the accepted decorum on any blog before doing anything. Charles said he’s working on a script that won’t allow new/inactive members to ding stuff without posting x-number of comments first, but maybe there needs to be a blurb on the sign-up page until that’s implemented.
