The last thing they want is a Shi’a Islamic Republic to overthrow and/or nuke their cozy little Sunni monarchy. It’s the ages-old Sunni-Shia schism that keeps coming into play.

And the Saudis will be more than comfortable letting the Israelis take the heat for it since it would play into the Saudi foreign policy and Islamist ideals - that the evil Joos are hell-bent on subjugating and spreading misery and death among the Muslims. But privately, they’ll all breath a sigh of relief that someone ended the nuclear threat posed by Iran that no one else has an answer for.

The Israelis did it once before, in 1981 in Iraq and put back Sadaam’s nuclear ambitions, well… indefinitely.
