Because all meaning, definition, and spacetime phenomena bends around the premise that NRO-conservatives are serious thinkers in a continuity with the great and noble philosophers of the past, even if what those philosophers said and did directly contradicts the views of current NRO writers.

Yep, NRO’s answer to whenever a wingnut acts like well a wingnut is to do some crap about how this means they’re actually a liberal. It’s typical of them. To them, conservatism has never done anything wrong ever. Honestly, I thought WFB was trash and NRO as his largest legacy is even trashier. Just because the guy spoke well didn’t make him any less of a bigoted prick who apologized for Jim Crow and right wing dictatorships.
