If you’re in the mood for a really good memoir, Wakeman’s ‘Grumpy Old Rock Star’ is a riot. It starts with a story of Wakeman buying a Red Army uniform in Moscow (totally illegal at the time) and then having to bribe his way out of the country, and gets funnier from there.

There’s a ‘Grumpy Old Rock Star II,’ but I haven’t read it yet.

That was one of my favorite albums as a fifteen-year-old. Still my favo(u)rite Rick Wakeman album.
