That is so true. If ever the two parties risk a third getting in the way, now is the time. They sometimes come out of the blue—would be nice to rock the boat a little so some sense can be beaten into the established parties. A centrist party would be perfect—would scare the crap out of both.
What we need is another Perot? Nader? Give me a break.
I think what we need is a majority of Independent voters and then let the two parties suck up for votes, instead of just preaching to the converted.
Last thing we want is a bunch of single issue parties and coalitions like one sees in Europe.
