I follow football vaguely because of family obligations.

I am supposed to know something about college basketball because of in-laws.

Hockey is the sport I have gotten into on my own, thanks to going to games in person (the only way to do it) and at this point I’ve found an enthusiastic community elsewhere that is able to acknowledge places where the sport could be improved without coming across as hating it in its entirety. Most of LGF is probably pleased to be spared my hockey babbling, so it’s a good deal all around.

If this isn’t the truth. Hockey doesn’t do well if it’s not live.
