Do you have a recipe for bark butter, or is it something you can purchase down there?

Look it up online. Wild Birds Unlimited carries their commercial brand.

Recipe from A FB “Birds of Texas” site:
“I have had hundreds of birds at my feeders today because of the icy weather. Along with the seed and suet I put out, they love my bark butter I make to plug into holes drilled into a piece of hanging bark. Here is the recipe I use. Measurements don’t have to be exact. I microwave 1 C peanut butter and 1 C lard for about 20 seconds to soften. Mix in 2 C cornmeal, 1 C rolled oats, 1 C birdseed, and 1 C flour. I flour up my hands for mixing as it is really sticky. I like to pinch off pieces and roll into golfball sized balls to make it easier to grab what I need when heading out to the feeders. The birds LOVE it!”
