I said it even before the election. The Republicans aren’t going to win on a platform of “We suck less than the Democrats”. They need to pick a few core issues and hammer them home. There are plenty of issues that the Democrats are open to attack on. Gun control is one. Energy is another, especially with gas prices starting to climb again. And, of course, there is foreign policy and the War (that Obama doesn’t even see as a war). Those issues would be sufficient to bring the Democrats down if the Republicans would just use them.

Need a Republican health care plan, and it can’t be the status quo.

A competent Republican party could definitely get behind the “reallocation” them that right now is being left to Obama.
