I was reading about the smoke advisory in Tucson and stumbled onto this:

The Pima County Recorder is warning all voters not to give their completed balllots to strangers.

F. Ann Rodriguez said her office has received numerous calls from people that are being called and asked if they want somebody to come pick up their ballot and take it to the post office or recorder’s office. Others have reported people knocking on their door and offering to turn in their ballots for them.

The Pima County Recorder’s Office does not condone this and warns voters that there is no guarantee the ballots will actually be turned in.
