Back in September my son commissioned a friend of his to do a watercolor and pen portrait of our dog who passed the year before, Abby. On the first anniversary of Abby’s passing he gave me the portrait. I lost it, crying and then laughing at how beautiful and perfect it was and then crying again. Really one of the most thoughtful things anyone has ever done for me. Just the perfect thing on what was a sad occasion.
