I’m always puzzled to see Mathews mentioned in these discussions. He voted for Bush as recently as 2004, and there were plenty of times when he professed his love for the Shrub.

Mathews is a very different beast.

He certainly tried and convicted the Haditha Marines and the Navy Seals and the existence of Gitmo….and…he was, of course, 100% wrong, as the acquittals and exonerations have proven…
