So far my biggest problem is handling panic. About a quarter of the nations in The Council are shitting their drawers at the moment and I don’t have the satellites or uplink capability to calm them down.

But I’m still a noob and still feeling my way through the game.

I’ve found the best way to keep panic down is to save satellite launches til the end of the month, just before a Council transmission. Also keep in mind that if you do real well on a terror mission, it brings down panic across that continent by 1-2 notches. And the big missions, like the alien base mission, automatically bring down global panic 2 notches one completed.
