For the record the cops were provoked, probably by anarchists. They seem to be the ones that keep getting mentioned. The other protest has been calm enough. Those protesters are pushing away the anarchists.

I understand that. And I understand it’s a tough situation all the way around. But overreaction seems to be the main reaction by the police. That’s what I meant by filters. There’s no dial-it-down option on their side.

And their behavior is feeding the anarchists and giving them what they want.
