re: #323 Wendell Zurkowitz ((slave to the waffle light))

I used to complain in the 90’s that it was just 60’s and 70’s music rehashed and rarely half as good as the original.

How can something classical last hundreds of years, and yet we can’t discover and rediscover and mess with something that is less than 30 or so?

I think we don’t value what we have now and how it fits in with previous and is another advancement of a how music can be created and styled. And we don’t think it has the ability to last when some of it may well be classics in time.

Take a cross genre song like Willie Nelson’s Crazy. There is a good chance that song will go down in time as a great.

In 1961 it was just a song by some guy too. And I bet someone said “it is not as good as something ol’ Hank wrote.”
