It’s much easier to be sheltered from the tough questions if you’re just a pundit. There’s no way she could sustain her media bubble if she ran for the presidency.

Still, I think that both Charles and Chris Bowers are making a convincing case for Sarah being the nominee in 2012. Scary thought, that. But at the rate she’s going, it’s entirely possible.

My recurrent question about Palin as the Republican nominee is that she’s never, AFAIK, had to go up against a hostile fellow Republican. And based on what I have seen, any other potential Republican candidate will be able to beat her into the ground with one hand tied behind his/her back. She knows nothing about policy, that I can tell. A bright seventeen-year-old Young Republican campaign volunteer could take her down.

Is cute and peppy, and gosh-darn patriotic really going to pull her through any form of primary debate?
