It may have been but your underlying point “That’s the problem with the law, it’s not fair” is dead-on. Money and fame did play a role in this, he was pulled over because he’s famous and he got off for the same reason. If you don’t have money to get a decent lawyer…you’re screwed in this country.

Oh come on… how many times does a movie star or some other personality get kit-glove treatment by the law? Never happens.
