I actually do feel bad for those kids because we’re inevitably shaped most by our parents at that age but man that kid’s likely to grow up to be a shitty human being.

To be fair, I grew up in a household where it was a sin to even suggest you liked a Democrat because both my folks had served through the Carter years and thought that Democrats absolutely hated the military. And while I did get swept up in the post-9/11, Lee Greenwood “God Bless the USA” stupidity, I did eventually get my head straight and recognize the very dark and rotten heart at the center of modern American conservatism.

So there is hope for that child, but he faces a very rough road going forward.
