I wondered about the doctor Gilbert pointing at the monitor screen; it just seemed like a moment of particularly bad acting from an amateur.

One thing I’ve wondered — and I’d have to watch the video again to get a sense of it — is whether the Western doctor, while apparently a Marxist goober extraordinnaire, may have been thinking, “Who are these idiots in my room, with a camera, pretending to do CPR?”

Might help explain his look of disconnected puzzlement. Although again, it’s just a thought and I’ll have to watch the tape again now…
