Where were these fine patriots when anti-war groups were being monitored and at times infiltrated? How about those “Free Speech Zones” that were used when liberals showed up to protest damned near anything? I don’t recall a whole lot of talk about that crushing freedom.

Bryan needs to crack an actual history book and read about COINTELPRO before he runs his yap. Like that would happen.

I do have a question though. I’m looking at starting a 501(c)(4) to raise money for a program that helps young adults with developmental disabilities go to college, trade school and learn life skills so they can find jobs. Nowhere in my research so far am I finding anything that says I have to file paperwork in advance with the IRS to start such an organization. I just have to file the right forms and provide accurate financial and other pertinent information when it’s tax time. So why are all these groups filing that paperwork in advance of doing the work they claim to be doing when it’s not even necessary? Were they trying to overwhelm the IRS with requests so they could whine about it when things weren’t moving fast enough? Something seems off with that unless I’m missing something.
