No. I think it’s because leftists are quietly (or not so quietly) sympathetic to the ideas of tyrannical regimes.

Basically, they all believe in a Master/Slave setup. There should be a permanent ‘ruling’ class, and everyone else is subject to their dictates. They are absurdly foolish to believe they’ll end up being in the ruling class once the revolution is over.

Just ask millions of Chinese ‘intellectuals’.
