re: #28 eclectic infidel

I was given a pepper spray bottle by a fellow activist over a year ago. Given the almost rabid nature of the “advocates for Palestine” the person figured it would be wise to keep some on hand, in case the police were unable to offer adequate protection (we were always outnumbered 10-1, easy). I didn’t disagree, but also never wanted to use because of course that would be assault, even in self-defense and that would open the flood gates for future assaults, again, given the nature of the other side. I am proud to say I never had to use it, and have recently donated it to a friend who is living alone in the City.

All that said, I once, accidentally, released the tiniest fraction of that vile stuff into my immediate environment. I. Was. In. Agony. That stuff is wicked evil nasty all wrapped up into a tiny canister. Of course it is unsuitable for eating! WTF is wrong with people!?! It’s a product designed to do harm, and extensive harm at that. No wonder only stupid people watch fox news.

My father worked in security for US embassies overseas. I was in his office once while he was prepping canisters of mace when he bumped one wrong and spayed himself in the face. I never laughed so hard in my life.
