If the hate was in the open too much, then the liberal fascists would have to make judgments and take action against it……which would be embarassing since much of it will ultimately come from their own base.

It’s far easier to pass these laws and then selectively enforce them when doing so provides them with a political / social advantage. They appear as if they are doing something good - but ultimately, like most of the programs from the left, it will in reality achieve nothing that is good.
