Would you not agree that spending has increased dramatically? The more the gov spends, the angrier people will be…particularly if it means raising taxes and/or cutting benefits.

I agree that spending has been increasing dramatically for the past 30 years. Where I suspect we differ is that I think it’s evident that these Tea Party protests are not really related to government spending.
