You actually think someone as divisive as Newt could effectively lead this country? Our last three presidents tried to be uniters, and all have failed (regardless of who you want to blame).

On that count, Newt would be the biggest failure of all. Diplomacy, conciliation, tact…none of that’s in Newt’s DNA. Which is why I find him temperamentally a terrible match for the presidency.

The thing is: he takes stands and will fight for them. Mitt has before tonight seemed unwilling to do that. Mitt can still get my vote, but he needs to show some ‘stick’ to himself. Just posing won’t win this election.
