Yes, but the literal meaning of the term is idiotic. When it was invented, as now, far-and-away the largest number of Semitic-speakers spoke Arabic, followed by Amharic. In those days, Hebrew would have been far behind even Syriac and Aramaic. It’s a butt-ignorant term that I refuse to use or recognize.

No problem, as long as you refuse to use such ignorant terms as “jellyfish” and “atom”.
