yep. on one hand, for me, movies that go dark and stay there aren’t that enjoyable to me…like an actor who always yells…you need contrast to make the dark parts really dark.

on the other hand, i love how European movies don’t have to end on a happy note. sometimes the best ending is a bad ending, you know?
