Yeah, don’t really care about her divorces, past life, etc, but she still has no right to violate the law and refuse to grant marriage licenses to eligible couples under cover of her religious beliefs.

The option to resign her position is still fully available to her if her beliefs conflict with her responsibilities as a public official. She’s not a soldier refusing an order from a Nazi overlord to murder someone, etc.
