I’m fine with a fuel tax. This country solely needs it to help improve our road infrastructure.

Those more affluent Americans owning hybrid vehicles or electric cars wouldn’t be paying their share of costs if it’s paid only through fuel tax. We all benefit from improved roads and infrastructure. The fairest approach is to pay through income taxes — maybe a temporary added tax that increases by income level.
