I respect Michelle Malkin and have enjoyed reading her stuff for well over ten years now. But what Hotair represents is something schizophrenic and I believe untenable in the long run…the brilliant blogger Allahpundit combined with the intelligent and more overtly conservative (and Christian) Ed Morrissey —- writing for an intelligent and relatively diverse audience. But the loudest element of that audience is unfortunately the most deranged.

The overtly hateful discourse engaged in by many of the religious commenters there is painfully obvious and a serious detriment to the site. I’d rather not take part in conversations which require me to swim through a swamp to get through to more agreeable folks.
