The ones we do have are working overtime. I especially hate textspeak. I use LOL, IMHO and the like, but I can actually spell “your” (and I know the difference between that and “you’re”). Believe it or not, my kids all text in full sentences with punctuation. They were all terrible spellers as children, but when chat came along they were embarrassed by their poor skills and learned to do better. It carried over into texting.
