I grew up in that area. All my friends who still live in the Greater New York/New Jersey area are true blue — the ones who moved away are independents or conservatives, for the most part. I blame toxic waste.

Fortunately, there’s a little pocket of conservatism in Northwest Jersey that we recently moved to — it’s a breath of fresh (or at least, less toxic!) air!
