I guess I was making a metaphor for Congress… honestly… a local example, there is some program right now, forgot the name, but it’s extra federal money for states who’s school boards will agree to some standards, some merit type standards, that would require some goals to be met for accepting/winning the money.

Colorado lost out on the first round… the state is reapplying, modifying it’s “end of the bargain.” Guess what, the teachers union won’t support the attempt to get the extra money for the school districts… why… because of the merit aspects of the funding…

You’re talking about “Race to the Top,” aye? Yeah, it’s a joke, like a lot of education “programs” these days. It’s like how “Head Start” is in up to its eyeballs in accusations of fraud.
