I think looking back at age 24 about how I was back in high school, I was probably naive about Israel not knowing the history and having not seen some of the vicious Anti-Semitic propaganda. I don’t see criticism of Israel as being Anti-Semitic, shit no one should beyond criticism and I criticize my own country when I feel we’re wrong. I of course do understand people who feel Israel is unfairly targeted by some of those on the left who totally ignore how backwards many of Israel’s critics are on the issue of religious minorities, women, and gays/lesbians. Plus I hate how being a Zionist has been made out to be a bad thing. There’s no reason why the Jewish people shouldn’t enjoy the right to national sovereignty. I am not opposed to a Palestinian state either for that matter.
