Where’s soxfan4life been? I offered up some observations on how cap and trade would adversely affect the rail industry (on top of the transportation sector in general). He said he could do likewise on how the utility sector would be harmed by cap and trade…some of which would seem self-explanatory, but he could probably offer even more insight…

Hey Fenway. Haven’t seen him either. I imagine it would effect the rail industry quite a bit especially if they start going after coal since coal transport is a major part of their revenue. Other effect will be caused by fossil fuels used by the locomotives.

Here’s a chart of what the EPA was calling the largest contributor to CO2 gases:

Notice also that “cement manufacture” is fourth. This will have a wide impact.
