It’s the mirror-verse.

Trumpers are trying to claim that Obama was wire-tapping Flynn. In truth, they were wiretapping various Russians and Turks and so on, who were speaking with Unspecified US Person. The conversations alarmed them enough that they decided they needed to know who was saying those things to Russia and Turkey, so they unmasked Unspecified US Person and that’s where they first realized it was Flynn.
