So far, the list of excuses is:

- “It’s not a Muslim ban because not all Muslim-majority countries named/Christians turned away.”
- “The list of countries was written up by the Obama admin, so they’re to blame for only these 7 countries being targeted.”
- “Only a small number of people have been affected by this ban.”
- “The EO remains in effect because the President has the authority to do whatever he deems legal to protect the country.”

And now…

“If we’d given notice, then the ‘bad guys’ would have rushed in before the ban was in effect.”

This does not address why people were held without council, why green card holders were included, why green card holders were being pressured to sign away their permanent residency, and why travelers were being forced to turn over access to their social media and phone contacts.
