Because in my home state of Illinois I feel it imperative that the Republicans take the governorship. The GOP ended up nominating a creationist. Thus I had to decide what was most important to me. I decided it was more important to have someone as governor who would balance the budget and fight the Dem machine than to have someone who believes in evolution.
