As I have said before, I believe the 1st Republic ended 22 November 1963. This has been something like the warring states period in Chinese history ever since and it still remains to be seen if a second republic will arise or if a fascist regime will take the first republic’s place. The “culture wars” have been a real war.

That what’s going on in the China-Indian border isn’t getting more press astounds me.
