Well, that is what the GOP leadership wants - someone to blame. But the real diehard TPers, the ones who hold their daily “townhall” sessions, really do want to shut down part of government. They are trying to eliminate several departments.

They’re unlikely to see that happen. A compromise will be reached, I am sure. But first the TP has to be shown that they cannot have everything they want. Call it the first step in GOP freshmen education.
