A few months ago when Trump was merely the frontrunner, Nate Silver said that on a scale of one to one thousand, the then current scenario was about the 997th worst for the GOP. I believe it has now reached the 1,000th worst scenario, surpassing a zombie apocalypse and the Sweet Meteor O’Death.

I’m a broken record on this subject, but I want to see the GOP dead before I dance on its grave.

Odds are we’re looking at a slightly worse loss for the GOP than they had in 2012. If Democrats get 40+ states in the electoral college, the Senate, the House and a majority of state-level offices in 2016, I’ll start taking GOP doom and gloom scenarios seriously.
