As president, he’s (probably) going to have real doctors. If he ends up showing signs of Alzheimer’s, shit’s going to get real, fast.

You’d think… except that knowing everything we know about the Trump cabal, they’ll try to avoid any admission that Donny’s suffering from Alzheimers and has been for years - especially during the campaign when he’d lie and forget what he said minutes ago.

His followers wouldn’t care (and would promptly state with glee that a guy with Alzheimers beat Clinton).

While you’d also think that the docs at Walter Reed would be the ones caring for him, I’m not sure that is a requirement and the president could find his own personal docs to bury any evidence that he’s shot suffering from a debilitating illness.

It would take an admission that he’s suffering from mental illness or Alzheimers for the 25th (Clause 4) to kick in - pushing Pence to the forefront as acting POTUS.

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
